Los Angeles: Hit And Run Driver Leaves Man Hospitalized

03.25.2019 | 12:36 AM | LOS ANGELES – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a driver who fled the scene, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of 8th and Catalina streets around 12:36 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a male pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from what appeared to be a head injury.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an an area hospital.

Initial reports indicate the man was crossing the street when a driver collided with him and then fled the scene.

Officers were on scene continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
