Los Angeles: High-Rise Building Damaged By Arson Fires, Suspect Arrested
11.28.2019 | 11:01 PM | LOS ANGELES – Arson fires damaged a high-rise building and left one person under arrest, late Thursday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a ringing alarm a high-rise building located in the 800 block of South Francisco Street the in the downtown area around 11:01 PM.
Crews arriving on scene learned that the alarm was indicating fire on multiple levels.
Additional resources responded to the scene and firefighters discovered multiple suspicious fires that were being held in check by fire sprinklers.
At least five floors of the building were damaged as a result of the fire and subsequent water damage.
A suspect was located by firefighters and taken into custody by officers.
An investigation is ongoing.
