Los Angeles: Firefighters Free Man From Box Truck Crash

07.24.2019 | 2:39 AM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters freed a man who became trapped in the cab of his box truck after a crash, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a box truck that had veered off the eastbound I-210 Freeway near Wentworth Avenue in the Lake View Terrace area around 2:39 AM.

Units arriving on scene located the box truck with a male driver trapped inside.

Using the jaws of life and other power tools, crews freed the trapped man within 45 minutes before transporting him to an area hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash was under investigation, prompting the closure of the 2/3/4 lanes.
