Los Angeles: Firefighters Battle Stubborn Greater Alarm Fire

11.21.2018 | 3:33 AM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters were battling a stubborn fire that had consumed a fourplex, early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1400 block of South Toberman Street shortly after 3:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a multi-story residential fourplex with heavy smoke and fire showing.

Crews attacked the fire for nearly an hour firefighters, preventing flames from spreading to nearby residences.

It was unclear how the fire started or whether there were any injuries.

Numerous individuals, including possible residents of the building, evacuated their homes as the fire consumed the building.
