Los Angeles: Driver Shears Fire Hydrant During Crash

01.04.2019 | 1:50 AM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters worked to secure a sheared fire hydrant after a crash, Friday morning.

Officials responded to the reported crash involving a fire hydrant in the 16600 block of West Rinaldi Street around 1:50 AM.

Crews arriving on scene location a single-vehicle crash with a sheared fire hydrant spewing water into the air.

It took under an hour for firefighters to shut off the flow of water to the hydrant which flooded the nearby street.

The driver of the vehicle that sheared the hydrant was not injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
