Los Angeles: Driver Flees After Killing Pedestrian

12.27.2018 | 8:55 PM | LOS ANGELES – A person was dead after being struck and killed by driver who fled the scene, Thursday night.

Police responded to the reported crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Centinela Avenue in Mar Vista around 8:55 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a pedestrian down in the roadway.

Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene evaluated the victim and determined them to be deceased.

Initial reports indicate a black SUV struck the pedestrian and fled the scene without stopping.

Officers are searching for the driver.
