Los Angeles DA’s Security Shoots At Car Thieves
11.28.2020 | 6:20 PM | LOS ANGELES – Large police presence at 17900 Block of Mayerling Street. LA District Attorney Jackie Lacey’s Protection Detail reportedly shot at an unknown suspect. Per CNS “GRANADA HILLS (CNS) – A security team for the recently defeated Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey was involved in an officer-involved shooting tonight outside her Granada Hills home after someone tried to steal a car there. The OIS and attempted theft of the security vehicle in the 17900 block of Mayerling Street was reported at 6:20 p.m., a police dispatcher told City News Service. According to police, the security detail had two cars outside Lacey’s home. As a security officer exited one of the cars, two suspects pulled up in their own vehicle. One then tried to get into the empty security vehicle, prompting the OIS. The two suspects fled the scene without being struck by gunfire, the dispatcher said. Their descriptions were available.” The white Mercedes was reportedly stolen from 21924 Hiawatha St in Chatsworth by three males possibly Hispanic.
