Los Angeles: Carport Fire Destroys Multiple Cars
03.21.2020 | 1:42 AM | LOS ANGELES – At least nine cars were destroyed and another six damaged after a carport burned, early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1700 block of South Westmoreland Avenue in the Pico-Union area around 1:42 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a carport engulfed in flames that had already spread to several vehicles.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and extinguished the bulk of the flames within 25 minutes.
No injuries were reported but at least nine vehicles were destroyed and six others sustained heat damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
