Los Angeles: Car Shears Fire Hydrant In Crash
02.25.2019 | 12:15 PM | LOS ANGELES – A fire hydrant was sheared after a crash, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to the reported crash involving a fire hydrant in the 1300 block of West Washington Boulevard shortly after midnight.
Units arriving on scene located a vehicle that had collided with a fire hydrant. The hydrant was sheared sending a geyser of water into the air as a result of the crash.
Crews secured the flow of water to the hydrant within 10 minutes.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained on scene to cooperate with authorities.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
