Los Angeles: Botched Smash & Grab Leads To Discovery Of Large Marijuana Grow Operation

08.07.2019 | 11:53 PM | LOS ANGELES – A botched smash and grab burglary attempt led to the discovery of a large illicit marijuana grow operation, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle that struck a building in the 1000 block of West Manchester Avenue in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles around 11:53 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a pickup truck that had apparently backed into a commercial building.

Upon further investigation, a large marijuana grow operation was discovered inside the building.

A witness reported seeing 4 male blacks running from the scene after crashing the truck through the building.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and grow operation.
