Long Beach: Victim Extricated With Serious Injuries After Crash
11.04.2018 | 11:05 PM | LONG BEACH – At least one victim was critically injured after a two-car crash, late Sunday night.
Fire and police responded to a reported traffic collision at the intersection of 4th Street and Pacific Avenue just past 11:00 PM.
Officials arriving on scene found a two-car crash with one patient trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters used power tools including the jaws of life to extricate the patient.
The extricated patient along with another victim who reportedly suffered only minor injuries were transported to area hospitals by ambulance.
A witness reported one vehicle ran a red light before striking the other.
The Long Beach Police Department is investigating.
