Long Beach: Second Alarm Fire Evacuates Apartment Building
04.05.2019 | 2:32 AM | LONG BEACH – A second-alarm fire that broke out prompted the evacuation of a nearby apartment building, Friday morning.
Authorities responded to the reported structure fire in the 1100 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 2:32 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a two-story commercial building with fire showing and began efforts to attack the blaze.
A second alarm was called due to heavy fire conditions and a nearby apartment building was evacuated as a precaution.
Within 30 minutes crews had extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading.
It was unclear if the building was occupied at the time of the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
