Long Beach: Residential Fire Hospitalizes Two

12.07.2018 | 2:24 AM | LONG BEACH – Two people were hospitalized after being injured during a early morning fire, Friday.

Authorities responded to the reported fire in the 4400 block of Maury Avenue shortly before 2:30 AM.

Crews arriving on scene found a single story residence with smoke and fire to the rear.

Firefighters immediately doused the blaze, extinguishing the flames within 10 minutes.

At least two civilians were injured, one with moderate burns, as a result of the fire.

Paramedics treated both patients on scene before transporting them to an area hospital.

Investigators were requested to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
