Long Beach: Pursuit Ends With Foot Bail

08.17.2020 | 2:45 AM | LONG BEACH – A pursuit suspect was taken into custody after fleeing on foot but his passenger managed to escape, early Monday morning.

Deputies from San Bernardino County attempted to stop a stolen vehicle occupied by two suspects.

The driver of the vehicle fled at speeds of 115 MPH on the westbound I-210 Freeway before transitioning to the southbound I-605 Freeway.

The pursuit ended when the driver took the SR-91 Freeway to Long beach and stopped in the 3400 block of East Poppy Street.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident but the passenger fled into a home and was not located after a search of the building.
