Long Beach: Person Trapped After Crash With Big Rig

12.26.2018 | 11:51 PM | LONG BEACH – A crash involving a big rig left one person trapped, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to the reported crash on the northbound Long Beach Boulevard exit from the northbound I-710 around 11:51 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located an SUV that had collided with a big rig and was severely damaged.

Both occupants of the SUV were injured and one was trapped.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to extricate the trapped occupant and transported both victims to an area hospital.

The condition of the victims was not immediately known.

The driver of the big rig did not appear to suffer any injuries in the collision.

Police are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
