Long Beach: Pedestrian Dragged By Hit-And-Run Driver
01.07.2019 | 7:50 PM | LONG BEACH – A pedestrian was dead after being struck by a car that dragged them down the street while fleeing, Monday night.
Officials responded to the reported auto versus pedestrian collision in the 5900 block of North Paramount Boulevard around 7:50 PM.
Units arriving on scene found a pedestrian down in the roadway and pronounced them deceased on scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle strike the pedestrian before dragging them as it fled.
All lanes of North Paramount Boulevard were closed between South Street and Seaboard Lane while police investigated.
