Long Beach: Mass Shooting Leaves Three Dead, Nine Injured

10.29.2019 | 10:45 PM | LONG BEACH – A mass shooting left three people dead and nine others hospitalized, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with multiple victims down behind a nail salon located in the 2700 block of East 7th Street around 10:45 PM.

Officers arriving on scene encountered multiple victims down near a house behind the nail salon and initiated life-saving efforts.

Firefighter paramedics responded and took over emergency medical care.

Three victims deceased on scene and nine other victims were transported to area hospitals by firefighter paramedics. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

A witness reported he was walking down the street when he heard the barrage of gunfire break out causing him to run for safety.

No information regarding any suspects or motive was immediately available.

Investigators will be conducting an extensive inquiry into the events leading to the mass shooting incident.
