Long Beach: Good Samaritan’s Finger Bit Off During Bike Robbery

A man was caught stealing a bike near the upscale area of Bixby Knolls in Long Beach. A witness stated the man was caught by the bike owner and a fight started. A man named Steve tried helping along with a third good Samaritan, and even possibly a fourth. During the struggle the suspect bit the tip of a finger off of one of the good Samaritans. The police department put the finger on ice and transported it to the hospital. Both the victim and suspect were transported to the hospital by Long Beach Fire.
