Long Beach: Freeway Crash Leaves One Dead

01.15.2019 | 12:06 AM | LONG BEACH – A freeway crash left one person dead and another hospitalized, early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported crash on westbound lanes of the SR-91 just east of Atlantic Avenue around 12:06 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a two-vehicle crash with heavy fog limiting visibility in the area.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced one victim deceased on scene and transported another to an area hospital for treatment.

All westbound lanes were closed while officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
