Long Beach: Firefighters Battle Intense House Fire
03.31.2019 | 4:00 PM | LONG BEACH – Firefighters extinguished an intense house fire and rescued several dogs in the process, Sunday evening.
Authorities responded to multiple calls reporting a structure fire in the 1000 block of Nylic Court around 4:00 PM.
Crews arriving on scene found heavy fire showing from the rear of a single-story home and initiated an aggressive fire attack.
During their efforts to extinguish the blaze, crews freed a locked door allowing several trapped dogs to escape the fire.
The dogs were later detained by good Samaritans.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
