Long Beach: DUI Suspect Sent Flying After Crash Into Traffic Circle (Caught On Camera)

02.13.2020 | 1:58 AM | LONG BEACH – A suspected DUI driver was sent flying 15-feet into the air after her vehicle slammed into a boulder in the middle of a traffic circle, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision near the intersection of 4th Street and Daisy Avenue around 1:58 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a blue BMW coupe that had slammed into a 300-pound boulder in the middle of a traffic circle causing the vehicle to fly 15-feet into the air before striking two parked vehicles.

The female driver of the BMW was miraculously uninjured but placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI.

Security cameras mounted on a nearby home recorded the dramatic crash as it happened.

Residents report crashes, particularly those involving drugs or alcohol, are a common occurance at the intersection.
