Long Beach: DUI Driver Smashes Into Parked Cars, Power Control Box

12.04.2018 | 10:54 PM | LONG BEACH – A suspected DUI driver left a mess after he lost control and crashed into several parked vehicles along with a power control box, Tuesday night.

Police responded to a reported rollover crash near the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and 55th Way shortly before 11:00 PM.

Officers arriving on scene found a mess with an overturned vehicles, sheared power control box, and several damaged parked cars.

The driver the overturned vehicle, who was determined to be the only individual involved in the crash, was uninjured but heavily intoxicated according to reports from the scene.

Officers investigating determined the man was DUI and placed him into custody.

The area was cordoned off while power company officials and city works could clear the scene.
