Long Beach: Big Rig Crashes Into Car Trapping Its Occupant

12.12.2018 | 11:28 PM | LONG BEACH – A person was trapped after a crash involving a big rig, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to the crash involving a big rig on the southbound I-710 just south of Wardlow Road around 11:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle that witnesses say was hit by one big rig causing it to careen and crash into another big rig.

The occupant inside the vehicle that was hit was trapped in the wreckage of the crash.

Firefighters used the jaws of life along with other power tool to extricate the trapped party who was transported to an area hospital.

No one else was injured in the crash.
