Long Beach: Arson Investigators Probe Suspicious Fires
09.24.2019 | 10:57 PM | LONG BEACH – Arson investigators were probing a series of suspicious fires, late Tuesday night.
Authorities were battling a cardboard compactor fire in the 5000 block of Long Beach Boulevard around 10:30 PM when they received reports of a vehicle fire in the 5000 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Crews responded to the reported vehicle fire and found a minivan engulfed in flames.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the vehicle fire when they were alerted to another fire in the 5000 block of Atlantic Avenue only 500 feet away.
Additional crews responded to dumpster fire and quickly extinguished it.
Arson investigators were summoned to the scene to investigate the suspicious nature of the fires.
