DETAILS:

1. Fire extended to 3 balconies of the apartment building
2. Second alarm response due to fire spreading to other units
3. LBFD personnel rescued 2 dogs from one of the involved units, belonging to the buildings owner
4. At least 3 apartment units were destroyed, with many others damaged
5. LBFD arson investigators on scene working to determine the cause
6. Explosions were heard in the first moments of the fire
