Line Fire Explodes & Jumps Highway 330

DETAILS:
- The Line fires impact on the mountain communities is now imminent.
- The fire has responded to extreme heat, unstable atmospheric conditions, turbulent wind, and now is creating its own weather with massive pyrocumulonumbus smoke column producing powerful inflow / out flow winds, thunder, down strike lighting, rain, and hail.
- The massive 100 ft flames responded to all of the above conditions and is now displaying extreme fire behavior resembling the conditions that were seen in 2003 during the legendary and tragic ” Old Fire”
- The fire is now making a massive run towards running springs, arrowbear, green valley lake, and even cedar glen as the constantly collapsing smoke column blows the fire in all directions.
- thousands are evacuating starting all the way to east side of lake arrowhead.
- Thousands of Mountain residents are stuck in gridlock traffic trying to evacuate.
- The massive smoke column that was making its own weather caused about a 1 hour long heavy rain fall seemed to play a strong factor in slowing the rate of spread.
- The entire highway 330 corridor and surrounding canyon from at least city creek fores service station has been burned from top to bottom. all that is left is multiple rock slides, downed power lines and nothing by skeletons of what once was green vegetation.
