Laundromat Dispute Leads to Chaotic Shooting Scene

- A man was rushed to UCI medical center, appearing critically injured, after a dispute led to shots being fired in a busy shopping center late Friday morning
- Witnesses who did not want to speak on camera informed us of a verbal dispute at the La Mirada Laundromat between two men
- One of the males reportedly left but returned with a friend and began a physical altercation with the victim
- The victim reportedly pulled a knife. The two men ran to their blue Ford Explorer, where one retrieved a handgun from the trunk and began firing at the victim, striking him multiple times
- Other bullets went flying into an occupied cosmetics store, sending storefront workers scrambling for cover and breaking the glass to the front
- The two men, described as male Samoan, fled eastbound on Imperial Hwy in the Explorer with their trunk still open
- The above information has not been confirmed with any official source, only through an eyewitness account. This information has yet to be verified, though witness accounts match the radio broadcasts that there are confirmed two male Samoan suspects, both 25-30 years old wearing dark clothing, who fled in a black 4 door Ford Explorer with the trunk open.
- Deputies have cordoned off the entire parking lot. They are also checking a white Kia SUV with blood smear on the passenger door toward the east end of the lot. All businesses in the area were forced to close and remain closed as the investigation is ongoing.
