Latina’s Bar Doorman Shot and Killed

Officers responded to a shooting involving a nightclub employee and a patron.

The altercation began when a patron got into a dispute with the male working the door.

The patron reportedly stepped back, retrieved a firearm, and shot the doorman.

The doorman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department.

A second victim, who was standing nearby, was also struck by gunfire in the right leg.

The second victim was treated by HFD and transported to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.

The suspect was described as a young Hispanic male in his early 20s with a short buzzcut. He fled the scene heading north on Telephone Road.
