LASD Prisoner Transport Bus Runs Over Pedestrian On The Freeway In Pacoima

Around 3:20am, CHP responded for reports of a LASD Prisoner Transport Bus vs a pedestrian. Initial info is that the bus was traveling northbound on I-5 when it couldn’t avoid the pedestrian in the roadway. LAFD responded and declared the male deceased at scene.Upon arrival, they found a male deceased in the roadway. Several other vehicles also struck the pedestrian however only one remained at scene. There were no prisoners in the bus at the time of the collision and the deputy is cooperating with the investigation. All lanes were diverted off at Osborne for the investigation.
