LASD Finds No One Home At Swatting In Canyon Country

LASD received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at a residence, with shots being fired. The caller stated that there was a domestic dispute where the suspect pointed a loaded gun at the partner. The call escalated to there being a possible shot victim, before the caller suddenly hung up.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded and requested help from LASD SEB. Units surrounded the house and were able to make entry, but found no suspect or evidence of any crime. The house ended up being unoccupied at the time of the call.

LASD is starting an investigation into the origin of the report and they are going to try and identify who the 911 caller was.
