LAPD Pursuit Ends After Spike Strip in DTLA

At approximately 1:00 am on March 17th, 2026, Los Angeles Police Department officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit that lasted about 30 minutes through South Los Angeles and into downtown Los Angeles.

During the pursuit, one passenger exited the vehicle near the 110 Freeway and was not located.

The pursuit continued until officers successfully deployed a spike strip, bringing the vehicle to a stop near 28th Street and Central Avenue. The driver was taken into custody at the scene.

The investigation remained ongoing.
