Lancaster: Gunfire Erupts At Party, Victim Found At Nearby Hospital

08.26.2020 | 10:40 PM | LANCASTER – A victim was located at a nearby hospital after gunfire broke out at a house party, Wednesday night.

The shooting occurred outside a home in the 44200 block of Carolside Avenue, near East Avenue J-5, around 10:40 PM.

When units arrived on scene they located a large group that had been attending a party at the home and spent shell casings littered in the street.

Moments later a gunshot victim was reported at Antelope Valley Hospital, just a short drive from the scene of the shooting.

Deputies responded to the hospital but the condition of the victim was not immediately known.

As deputies worked to establish a crime scene and investigate the shooting a fight broke out among partygoers.

The fights were broken up by other bystanders and did not appear to result in serious injuries.

No suspect description or motive was immediately available but it is believed the shooter fled in a vehicle.
