Lakeview Terrace: Hansen Dam Brush Fire

06.19.2019 | 7:52 PM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters worked to extinguish a small brush fire that broke out near Hansen Dam, Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a brush fire near the Hansen Dam Recreation Center located in the 11400 block of Foothill Boulevard in Lakeview Terrace around 7:52 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located an approximately 2 acre brush fire possibly sparked by a nearby homeless encampment.

Ground crews were able to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading within one hour.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
