Lake Arrowhead Violent Drunk Driving Crash – Driver Hospitalized and Arrested

DETAILS:
- One driver has been hospitalized and will be headed to jail after a violent drunk-driving traffic collision in Lake Arrowhead.
- At around 6:40 PM, A traffic collision took place in Lake Arrowhead that could be heard from miles away.
- Witnesses stated they saw the vehicle moving at speeds in excess of 50 mph before losing control, slamming into a parked sedan, and then rolling over landing off the road hanging over a ledge.
- witnesses immediately began to try and render aid to the driver and said they immediately noticed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
- Fire showed up along with a Cal Fire law enforcement officer who just so happened to be in the area at the time of the incident.
- after speaking with the suspect, it was confirmed that the driver was very altered and drunk, and was transported.
- It later came to notice that the driver was not in possession of a driver’s license and the driver stated he didn’t need a license because he does not drive.
- There were no other victims, or injuries reported in the incident.
- The DUI driver did begin to be argumentative and slightly combative with a medic, however, the LEO was able to calm him down.
- The incident is now under further investigation.
