Lake Arrowhead Cabin Engulfed in Flames

DETAILS:
- Two Structure fires in Lake Arrowhead just a few hours apart shocked community residents tonight.
- Just after midnight, firefighters responded to reports of another house on fire, this time on the other side of the lake in the community known as “The Villas.”
- When they arrived on the scene, they found a 3-story home with the Charlie side (back side) of the house well involved.
- Due to the home’s complex structure, firefighters had to breach the neighboring house’s upper-level deck in the backyard and spray water from the neighbor’s house during the initial attack on the blaze.
- The house sat on a steep slope, and firefighters had to hike down the steep terrain and try to attack the blaze from well below the house and downhill.
- It took firefighters about 30 minutes to get knocked down.
- Firefighters also had to make forceable entry as the fire had entered the interior.
- There were no reports of injuries, and we are still waiting to hear if the house was even occupied.
- Some residents who lived down the street tried to evacuate the area due to fear of wildland spread.
- The fire did not impact the vegetation.
