Laguna Niguel: Man Extricated From Chimney After Getting Stuck

11.08.2018 | 11:10 PM | LAGUNA NIGUEL – A man had to be cut out of a home’s chimney after becoming stuck, Thursday night.

Police and fire responded to a homeowner report of an unknown man possible trapped inside the home’s chimney in the 30000 block of Via Alcazar Avenue.

Units arriving on scene confirmed a man not known to the homeowners was trapped inside the chimney.

Firefighters used a ladder truck along with heavy rescue crews to cut the man from the chimney before lowering him to the ground. The whole operation took approximately 90 minutes.

The man, who was reportedly a resident of a nearby home, was treated on scene before being transported to an area hospital.

Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the man’s motives circumstances surrounding the entrapment.
