LAFD Battles Late-Night Apartment Fire

At approximately 8:45 p.m. on December 29th, 2025, firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at 5234 West Melrose Avenue in East Hollywood.

Crews arrived to find fire burning through the roof of the building, with multiple units impacted. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and achieved knockdown at approximately 9:50 p.m.

A total of five units were affected by the fire. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire had not yet been determined.

Fire crews remained on scene for overhaul and investigation.
