La Verne: Man Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit

09.27.2019 | 11:15 PM | LA VERNE – A man was arrested after leading police on a pursuit that reached speeds up to 120 MPH, late Friday night.

Officers assigned to the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Detail attempted to stop a suspect for unknown reasons around 10:45 PM.

The suspect failed to yield to officers, fleeing from them at speeds of up to 120 MPH before officers used a helicopter to track the vehicle to a dead-end street.

Officers blocked the suspect in forcing him to surrender without incident near the intersection of Grove and Fulton.

It was unclear what the suspect was wanted for prior to the pursuit.
