La Verne: High Speed Pursuit Leaves Two Dead, Four Critically Injured

08.29.2019 | 8:59 PM | LA VERNE – A high-speed pursuit crash left both drivers dead and four passengers critically injured, Thursday night.

Officers attempted to stop a red Acura Integra that ran a red light and a stop sign shortly before 9:00 PM.

The driver failed to yield to officers who initiated a short pursuit before.

Seconds later the Integra crashed head-on into a black Toyota Corolla at the intersection of White Avenue and College Lane.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the crash and found both drivers deceased on scene and four other critically injured.

All four victims, including one from the Corolla and three from the Integra, were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.

The area surrounding the crash was closed until further notice while authorities investigated.
