La Puente: 10-Year-Old Boy Killed While Riding In Vehicle With Parents

05.17.2020 | 9:43 PM | LA PUENTE – A 10-year-old boy lost his life after being gunned down while riding in a vehicle with his parents, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a boy that had been shot while sitting inside a vehicle at the intersection of North Hacienda Boulevard and Amar Road around 9:43 PM.

The boy’s parents drove to the 500 block of Fifth Street near Temple Avenue where they met first responders.

Deputies escorted firefighter paramedics to an area hospital where the boy where he was stabilized and then transported again to an trauma center where the attending physician pronounced him deceased.

Initial reports indicate the 10-year-old boy was seated in a family vehicle when an unknown suspect drove alongside their vehicle in a dark-colored sedan and opened fire.

The scene of the shooting was cordoned off while homicide detectives investigated the senseless murder.
