La Habra: Suspect Killed After Attempting To Run Down Officers At Dealership

09.26.2019 | 2:40 AM | LA HABRA – A suspect was dead after attempting to run down a pair of police officers at a car dealership, early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a suspect tampering with vehicles at dealership located in the 1200 block of East La Habra Avenue around 2:40 AM.

Units arriving on scene contacted a male subject inside a black Cadillac Escalade who informed officers he was armed before flashing gang signs.

The suspect refused to cooperate with officers prompting a standoff before the man began ramming vehicles in attempt to escape.

Eventually the suspect rammed through a roll-up door and drove through the dealership offices steering towards officers.

An officer-involved shooting occurred and the suspect was pronounced deceased on scene.

The shooting will be investigated by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
