La Habra: Pedestrian Killed By Hit & Run Driver

12-15-2019 | 2:12 AM | LA HABRA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver who fled and was later located, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Harbor Boulevard near La Habra Boulevard around 2:12 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a female pedestrian down in the roadway and pronounced her deceased on scene.

Ther driver who struck the pedestrian fled the scene without stopping or rendering aid.

Officers followed a trail of evidence from the scene of the crash and located a possible suspect vehicle with damage in the 1000 block of South Cypress Street.

The driver of the vehicle was detained and later arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving and hit-and-run charges in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash.

The name of the driver was not immediately released and anyone with information was urged to contact the La Habra Police Department at (562) 383-4300.
