La Habra: Bomb Threat Closes Northgate Market

06.27.2019 | 12:04 PM | LA HABRA – Authorities evacuated a supermarket after a bomb threat was phoned in, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a bomb threat at the Northgate Market located in the 1200 block of West Whittier Boulevard around 12:04 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned an unknown individual made a phone call to the store stating that a bomb was hidden inside.

Officers quickly evacuated the store and used bomb sniffing police K9s to search for the bomb but were unable to locate any suspicious devices.

Employees were able to reenter the store after nearly two hours.

The threat remains under investigation.
