La Crescenta: Fiery Wrong-Way Crash Kills Two

08.03.2020 | 2:44 AM | LA CRESCENTA – A fiery wrong-way crash left two people dead on an area freeway, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a wrong-way driver in a white Mazda sedan going westbound in eastbound lanes of the I-210 Freeway near Ocean View Boulevard around 2:44 AM.

Additional callers reported that the wrong-way driver had collided with another vehicle causing the vehicles to become engulfed in flames.

Units arriving on scene located the violent crash with both vehicles engulfed in flames.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, a female, was ejected and pronounced deceased on scene.

A passenger from the wrong-way vehicle was able to free himself from the wreckage and was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

The innocent driver who was hit by the wrong-way driver was also pronounced deceased on scene. He was a 27-year-old male.

All eastbound lanes of the I-210 Freeway were closed at

Ocean View Boulevard for several hours while authorities investigated the crash.
