La Crescenta: Deputy Trapped In Patrol Vehicle After Crash

05.17.2020 | 10:06 PM | LA CRESCENTA – A deputy was trapped in his patrol vehicle after a crash involving a Ford Mustang, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with a deputy trapped inside his patrol vehicle near the intersection of Mariposa Street and Marengo Avenue around 10:06 PM.

Units arriving on scene learned the deputy was t-boned by a Ford Mustang and temporarily trapped in his vehicle.

The officer freed himself from the wreckage prior to the arrival of firefighter paramedics and refused treatment.

The Mustang driver suffered unknown injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
