Jurupa Valley: Firefighters Battle Brush Fire

07.26.2019 | 12:50 PM | JURUPA VALLEY – Firefighters contained a brush fire that burned approximately 5 acres, Friday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a brush fire burning in the 5300 block of Pedley Road around 12:50 PM.

Units arriving on scene located two spot fires burning and quickly began efforts to extinguish the fires.

Water-dropping helicopters assisted ground crews in containing the fire that came just under 30 feet from occupied horse corrals.

The fire burned approximately 5 acres before it was contained by firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
