Jeep Splits Open After Fatally Crashing With Tree

DETAILS:

 

1. The male driver for an unknown reason left the roadway and went up onto a grassy area traffic circle and slammed into a tree.
2. The Jeep is wrapped around the tree, and the driver died upon impact.
3. There is heavy fog in the area.
4. He was driving westbound on Quivira Way
5. SDPD Traffic will be handling the investigation.

Synopsis:
A 31-year-old male was driving a 2020 Jeep Wrangler westbound on 1400 Quivira Way at a high rate of
speed. The male struck the east curb of the round-about, left the roadway, and collided with a tree. The
male sustained fatal injuries. The Jeep Wrangler was later reported as stolen by the owner a few hours after
the collision. It is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor in the collision. The San Diego Police
Department Traffic Division will be handling the investigation.
