Jeep Rolls Over, Two Injured | San Diego

10.03.2021 | 4:00 AM | SAN DIEGO – San Diego Police and San Diego Fire-Rescue responded to a solo vehicle accident on the 2800 block of Mission Bay Drive.

Upon arrival, first responders found a jeep that had rolled over after coming off the Southbound lanes of the I-5 freeway.

2 people inside the vehicle sustained injuries.

The male occupant of the vehicle believed to be the driver was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle.

The female occupant believed to be the passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, her condition is unknown at this time.

The California Highway Patrol will be handling the investigation.

No other injuries were reported.

As the photojournalist was making his way back to his vehicle he noticed a Hispanic male who had opened the driver’s side door and was inside rummaging through the vehicle.

The photojournalist confronted the male and a nearby officer heard the commotion and quickly detained the male.

The photojournalist refused to press any charges as nothing was taken from the vehicle.
