Irvine: Motorcyclist Dead After Crash

02.18.2020 | 10:15 PM | IRVINE – A motorcyclist was dead after crashing on a freeway on ramp, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a motorcycle down on the MacArthur Boulevard on ramp to the northbound SR-73 Freeway around 10:15 PM.

Units arriving on scene located an adult male down in lanes with a motorcycle on its side nearby.

Firefighter paramedics attempted life-saving measures but later pronounced the rider deceased on scene.

The on ramp was closed into Wednesday morning as officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The identity of the motorcyclist was not immediately released.
