Irvine: Fiery Crash Leaves Three Dead, Another Injured
11.22.2019 | 1:46 AM | IRVINE – Three people were dead and another was after a newer-model Mercedes-Benz sedan slammed into a tree and burst into flames, early Friday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire near the intersection of Harvard Avenue and University Drive around 1:46 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a red Mercedes-Benz sedan that had struck a tree just north of University Drive and was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters quickly doused the blaze and located three occupants deceased inside the vehicle.
A fourth victim from the vehicle was located outside the vehicle and treated on scene before being transported to OC Global Hospital in unknown condition.
All lanes of Harvard Avenue are closed between Michelson and University drives until further notice while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the fiery crash.
